GUIDE - How to listen to Japanese radio shows real-time ( ALL NIGHT NIPPON, RAJIRA, RECOMEN)

Hello! I decided to make this guide on how to listen to radio shows where your fave Johnny's idols guests or have a regular slot.
It was my problem when i came back to fandom, and sometimes, it's really kind of embarassing to approach other people. I am so glad the people I follow on twitter are very kind fans and doesn't dislike sharing info! (I'm so sorry I forgot who taught me this, I cant find ithe conversation anymore on Twitter :( but many many thanks to her!! )

So I made this guide for newbies and for myself as well, in case I forgot in the future!


1. Download a Google Chrome extension called Rajiko. Note : You can only access and listen to this through a pc/laptop browser.

2. Go to Radiko website.

3. Type on this box the name of the radio show, it should be in it's Japanese characters so it's easier to find.
Note : Doing so will also give you the schedules for the rest of the week ;) I'm not sure up to how far they post the schedules.

TIP : If you find the show you want to tune in, bookmark it once and it's okay. Since the radio shows are real time, any time you check the bookmarked url, the slot that will appear will be the show for that time slot, and not the segment you originally saw when you bookmarked it. Your desired show will only appear if you open on the correct time slot.


4. Once you find the time slot and show you want to tune in, click it, and it will take you to the player. Once there, ou have to click this extension, and click confirm to play. You can also record the show by clicking the lower button during broadcast. When you stop recording, it will automatically save and download to your local files in .aac format.
